Jirachi

Jirachi's birthday is tomorrow, 8/12/2013!  She will be four years old.

 This lovely little lady did very well at a Petco Meet and Greet on Saturday, even though she'd only been up from West Virginia since Wednesday!  You could tell that she was a little overwhelmed at all  of the new sights, sounds, and smells, but she handled it really well.

She greeted people quietly and a bit shyly, but would sometimes reward a person with a kiss to the face, and one person got the full greyhound lean as she pressed up against him and rested her head trustingly on his lap.

She was a little uncertain about treats at first, but quickly realized that they were a really GOOD thing and she wanted more.  (This should make her quite easy to train.)

The above picture: "Do I dare eat this treat off of my new friend?"

The answer:  "Why, yes, yes I do!"

Dreaming of  a home

It might be a bit too soon to get Jirachi into a home by her birthday, but I'll bet there's someone out there that will make sure that she celebrates her NEXT birthday in style (with couch, treats, human cuddles.)
