Hound Hike

Last week, a few of us took one of the Steel City Greyhounds informal hikes.  We met in front of Phipps Conservatory at 8 AM while it was still cool outside, and then took the Panther Hollow trail down into the woods.  The dogs always have such a great time sniffing the trees and shrubs, and of course hanging out with other greyhounds!

The trail is a beautiful one, and there was a lot of nice scenery for the humans to look at too!

Everyone had a greyt time!  I can't speak for how everyone else's dogs did once they got home, but I know that mine were tuckered out!

If you are interested in joining these walks, they have been happening every other Sunday, weather permitting.  Keep an eye on the Steel City Greyhounds website and Steel City Greyhounds emails for updates.  All are welcome!  For more information, you can also contact the walk's coordinators:  Mimi Lenenberg:  lenenberg@aol.com and Marcia Bandes: mbandes@c9n.com.
